Air leveling vs Hydraulic??

Currently I have a 40' HR Endeavor and looking at 40' Magna. Both DP's

We started looking at 2000 era Magna's. I got to wondering if I would notice much more movement when leveled (Air leveling), then I feel in my 2001 Holiday Rambler Endeavor when leveled (Hydraulic jacks)?

I do get some movement in the Endeavor but nowhere near as much as the travel trailer I had before it. I definitely wont like it if the Magna moves much while the wind is blowing or people are moving around. The Endeavor is pretty solid in these situations.

Are hydraulic levelers more stable ?

Also we have been on some slopes several times where the hydraulic leveling didn't have enough adjustment. Will this be more of a problem with air ride or less. Meaning with hydraulic I have to get the tires up on the low corner, but then I have to stack boards under the jack too. With air ride you would just need to get the tire on the low corner up. But I've heard that Air has less ability to overcome uneven slopes.

Any input appreciated,

Thanks, Mike

I have the air leveling system on my 97 Magna. You will notice more movement with the air leveling system. I have a 36 foot and there is a very slight movement when someone enters the coach. Much more so than when using hydraulic jacks. There is quite a bit of movement when there are strong wind gusts from either side.

To help avoid wind movement when parked I drop the coach to empty the air springs before I level - if the ground is fairly level the coach will sit on the rubber spring bumpers instead of riding on an inflated air bag. This cuts way down on rocking but it's still not as steady as hydraulic jacks.
