HWH Issues

2000 Magna C10 5763
After reading previous posts and figuring out what my issues are. I know I need a new ride height valve.  I can manually put it into travel mode but when going down the road it feels like around corners it's transfering the air from side to side. It almost feels like its rocking down the road.  I planned on replacing the rear airbags, ride height valves, and resealing and cleaning front and rear 6 pack valves next month. Do you think this will solve the problem ?

You don’t say if you lock out the HWH solenoids supplying to the ride height valves by removing the 7.5 amp fuse in the HWH control box before traveling.  Have you done that?

I hadn't heard about that procedure until I started reading this forum group answers to similar questions. I did find the fuse and have it labeled with fuse puller near by. I'll be moving this next week and I'll be trying that.
I worked in the auto/truck service industry for my entire career so I'm very well versed in chassis and electrical systems. Just not on such a large scale.  After some though on my issue I'm assuming the bags were not fully inflated causing the issue.
Next week I'll be taking it in to have the furnace looked at and I'll be pulling the fuse and testing.  Thanks for the reply.

The fuse I found is in the fuse panel in the compartment in front of the drivers front tire. The wiring diagram lists it as the fuse for the air Leveler brain.  I assumed this was the one. I still haven't found the brain part of the system. I've looked in the front compartment in front of the drivers tire and in the one in the first compartment going rearward.  I'm assuming it'll have HWH written on it because I have no idea what it looks like.

Look for the HWH control box inside the dash in front of the passenger seat. If that's where your HWH box is, that's where you'll find the 7.5-amp fuse that will allow you to disable the Travel Mode. With that fuse removed, you can then adjust the ride height manually and it will stay in that condition.
Because this can be a recurring issue, I ran a pair of wires from that fuse position to a fused switch on the dash in front of the driver thus allowing me to disable the Travel Mode with the flip of a switch rather than tearing the dash apart each time. It even helps when you want to manually level and override the leveling system.
Mine is a 2002 Intrigue ... should be similar. Good luck.

I was looking at that large panel with what looking to be buttons on the corners. Do the buttons pop off to reveal screws or does the panel pop off ?
I've looked everywhere else for this thing with no success, it has to be in the dash.
I'm tempted to do the rear bags and ride height valves myself. The only thing that scares me is going under the coach. I've always had a hoist, not this time.

Removed the panel in front of the passenger seat. No luck no brain box. It's not in the compartment in front of the drivers wheel and it's not in the front compartment with the transfer switch and other electrical where else can it be ? There's a metal box in the transfer switch compartment with twist locks on it. I'm looking in there next.

OK now I'm getting confused here, I'm assuming I'm looking for an electrical box with a clear plastic lid on it. I'm finding no such thing in any lower compartments or behind the passenger side dash. Looked in the overhead above dash area and nothing.
Anyone with a 2000 Magna could you send a picture of what I'm suppose to be looking for.

I don't know about any clear plastic lid. Inside the passenger side dash behind that removable panel should be a large metal box with screws holding the metal cover in place. Inside there is where the circuit board and fuses are. Again, I'm talking about a 2002 Intrigue.

I've looked in the passenger side dash and all that's in there is the heater plenum and duct work for the dash climate control. When I search what it looks like it shows a electrical box with a clear cover on one side.
I sure was hoping someone would send a picture of it so I know what I'm looking for. I need to move in a few days and it'd be nice to find that fuse.

Randy,
I have a 2000 Magna 5854. I don’t know where you live but when I was having problems with my HWH system, I took it to HWH in Iowa.  They determined I had an air bag leaking.  I subsequently took my Coach to Rocky Mountain Spring and Suspension in Colorado Springs, CO.  They replaced all my air bags.  I have also replaced a couple of the leaking air valves located underneath and in front of the front steps. The Coach leveling device is located on the ceiling of the enclosed compartment accessed from the bin behind the front tires. I would suggest you contact HWH.

I have searched extensively for the HWH brain box and cannot find it period. I did found the hwh hydraulic pump and reservoir for the slide but I cannot find the brain box anywhere.
I don't have a leak because it'll stay up for almost a month after leveling out. I need to find this brainbox to pull the fuse and lock it in travel mode.  I can't find this thing anywhere. I've got 3 different pictures of this thing and still no luck finding it in any of the locations that are being suggested.
I'm replacing the rear airbags, both height sensor valves in the rear, and resealing and testing all the solenoids from both 6 packs this months. I need to find this brainbox to lock it in travel mode so I can get it into town. That's the problem I'm having at the moment. As far as figuring this system out, I've read the trouble shooting part of the manual and got a pretty good idea how it works. Finding this brainbox is the only thing holding me back right now.

OK I found the brianbox, it appears to be mounted upside down in the compartment. Snapped pictures of inside and outside. Outside has the serial and model number tags on it. If it would've been mounted correctly the tags would've been plainly visible.
There are no adjustment points on this unit, if it was off how would you calibrate it without adjustment points ?
Got my fuse located so its time to see if I can lock this beast into travel mode.
All these electronics and no diagnostic tools what so ever other then a trouble shooting guide and a test light.  Would've been nice to have some sort of hand held tool to pull codes and watch sensors.

Par for the course, yesterday when I moved the coach the system perfectly. Other then an air type whistle from the front 6 pack. That'll get fixed here shortly. It did work so that tells me it's an intermittent problem. I did air ride for Ford for well over 35 years so not too worried about finding the issue. Thanks for all the help.
