WiFi in the coach

Was wondering about recommendations for some kind of WiFi repeater for the motor home. Am looking for something I can install on the roof for picking up existing WiFi ( like campgrounds ) and being able to boost/repeat in the Coach for better service. Is there something out there that works good?
Thank to all.

Maybe too late to help you on this:)!

We very seldom use park WiFi nowadays. We use Cellular Data for better download speeds (Streaming) and consistency in getting out to the Internet (Emails, route planning, bills and stocks, etc.).

We still have as our core inside of the coach 'conduit', a WiFiRanger GOac router. And on the roof, we added the Elite AC Flat Mount (Which can pull in 802.11AC signals, but not 802.11AX (WiFi 6) signals.

We also have a MobileMark combination roof top LTM series antenna. This one antenna has both GPS/WiFi/Cellular Signal enhancing antennas. And a plus is it's a 'single hole' solution into the roof. (We are not currently using the WiFi or GPS cables, but have them available to our Communications Cabinet.). We do use the MobileMark LTE MIMO cables, feeding out Net Gear Nighthawk Cellular Data Router. (Which is tethered to our WiFiRange GOac.).

I suggest you join RVMOBILEINTERNET site for a years membership. You can dive as deep as you want to into the techie stuff. Or, do as some of my friends do, go straight the Gear sections, and look over the 'Top Choice' selections from this gangs evaluations process. Take sometime, and map out a path forward, and the feather in the gear as fast as you want to. I'd look at future proofing on antennas, and if going with a MobileMark like antenna, get one that covers 5G spectrums too. I personally would not spend a great deal of money on 5G Cellular Capable Amps at this time, as the product mix is rapidly changing, and I believe prices will drop ahead...

Probably more then you wanted to know, but that's my$.02!

Best of luck to you,
Smitty

I'd recommend Alpha WiFi extender at TechnoRV.com. Had them on my last 3 motor homes and they work!

I'd skip the RVmobileinternet folks. It really kinda upsets me that the gross majority of the information they put out requires a paid membership to their community.

I can however highly recommend mobilemusthave.com

They carry the equipment that Smitty is using but there's no need to pay a fee to learn about it and how it works.

Great support, equipment and thoughtful bundles that work if you have zero internet, plus the ability to order exactly the one part you need. They have a great YT channel and if your also check out Home - LivinLite.net (same folks) there's awesome info there as well.

Cheers and good luck;
Ch

The CampPro 2 outdoor Wi-Fi extension has a long-range antenna that can be put on your motorhome's roof to pick up distant signals. It has an inside router to distribute signal throughout the motorhome. TL-WA855RE | 300Mbps Wi-Fi Range Extender | TP-Link Philippines
