What was the Lead Time on getting Front Air Bags from your quoted    Source?? I read one report on the Forum of a 7 weeks wait to get    Front Bags.

Lee, If you're speaking to me re: my 03 Allure 1st Ave. #30898 wherein I used Michigan Truck Spring & Suspension to purchase my Front Air Bags the Delivery Time was 2 Weeks; however, my Rear Air Bags were 6 to 8 week Delivery.
I am not changing my Rear Air Bags at this time.

Mike I have been thinking about getting air bags and having them changed when we are in Tucson this winter. Could you give me the part numbers you have for both the front and back. I would like to have them along with me when we head south in February. Our coach numbers are so close I think that they should use the same bags.

Thanks

Bryan, Glad to help. FRONT AIR BAG-Firestone Pt. #W01-358-7667- from Michigan Truck Spring $223.50. Note: for some reason they don't show this Firestone Pt. # on their website but it's the one. The actual Neway Pt.# 90557256, but it crosses over to the Firestone #. Neway doesn't make AIR BAGS they just purchase them with NEWAY branded on the Bellows by Firestone for Neway.

The DRIVE AXLE REAR AIR BAG on my 40' Tag coach Part #W01-358-9275 - I haven't purchased these as yet. But here's story on price this AIR BAG from SDTRUCKSPRING.com phone 877-774-6473 is $239.94, Michigan Truck Spring is $374.47 but Michigan told me they would meat the SDTruckSpring price.

The concern I have for you is manufacture of your Rear Suspension as it's a 36' coach without Tag. For a Non-Tag 36' Country Coach used one of three NEWAY REAR Suspension Models: AD-200, AD120, or AD123. You'll have to look at your Build Sheet or climb under Coach and look for a NEWAY Metal Plate about 4" long x 3" high. The number to write down from this Plate is the PARTS LIST it will be 8 digits long. There is a Seriel # as well but it's not as important.  From this number you can or I can call JAN @ NEWAY in customer service direct dial number 231-777-4464 to get the REAR AIR BAG Neway Pt.# which Michigan can convert to Firestone.  Please know that by just looking at the Number on the Rubber Bellows is NOT the Pt.# of the AIR BAG Assembly, it's just the Bellows Pt. #.

Note: the industry for Firestone Bags just uses the last 4 digits to describe the Air Bag Pt. # example 7667.

Any question call me @ 713-828-4505 Central Time

Bryan, Sorry I forgot to add that my Rear Suspension is RIDEWELL 246 Two Air Spring Drive Axle/Tag, as you do not have this Suspension on your coach and the Air Bags for Rear would be different.

Mike thanks for all of the info.

I just looked in the file box that came with the coach and it has a maintenance manual for a Neway, models AD-160 and AD-200 drive axle. I will have get under the coach the next time I get to the storage shed to look at the plate to see which model is actually installed.

We only have 30,000 miles on the coach so I am wondering if I really need to change them just because of the age.

we have the Neway on our 2004 Allure #31069.

We got the air bags from Tampa Spring in Tampa, FL  813-933-2805. They specialize in heavy duty suspension.

They checked all the air bags.  We replaced 2 and later replaced the others.

We may have the part numbers if you need them. Lonny isn't here right now but will ask him when he returns.  Not sure if Tampa Spring kept our info on file.

Bryan, A-OK, I am quite sure it's the AD200 as Country Coach doesn't show the AD160 in any of their Model Specifications.
On your Air Bags the primary issues would be any present leakage by having a truck shop mechanic crawl under and do the soapy water test on all Air Bags to see if there any Pin Hole leaks and second to look for Dry Rot around the the top and bottom of where the Air Bags fold.

Thanks Mike 03 Allure 1st Ave.#30898

Bryan,

This is approx. what Dry Rot would look like on your Air Bags

Mike thanks for the photo. I will get under the coach to take a good look at them when I get the axle numbers.

I think that regardless of the appearance of my air bags I will get new ones to carry along just because of their age. I would hate to have one blow when driving the coach.

Does anyone know the preferred procedure for storing the coach with the air dumped or left in travel mode when on shore power.  Is bag life affected?  Bob  06 Intrigue 12047

How about storing with bags fully inflated, to level the front in my case?
