Power Share

On my Xantrax 2000 there is a setting called "Power Share". It can be set at 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30. I think it has something to do with the way incoming power is distributed in the coach but am not sure what it does exactly. What does it do when set to 5 as opposed to 30? Can someone enlighten me?

Dan,

The setting limits the amount of current the Xantrex will pull on the shore power. As an example. If you are at home and you plug the coach into a 120v house circuit that has a circuit breaker of 15 amps you want to se the Xantex to 15 amp. This will keep from tripping your home circuit breaker. If you have a garage circuit with a 20 amp breaker set the Xantrex to 20. If you are in an RV park with 30 amp pedestal, set it to 30. No need to make any changes to the setting if connected to a 50 amp shore connection.

Hope this helps?

Hi Dan,

The different settings should have no effect while on generator power.

I know this is an old thread. I have wired a 30 amp plug for my 07 Magna. Each leg reads 120+/- volts and 240+/- combined.

My Silverleaf reads 187 volts On leg 1 and 2.  0 amps on 1 and 2. All is OK. I have no 120v or micro etc. Also didn't hear a clunk as I normally do when plugging into shore power. (Inverter switch?)

What are my issues and possible cures?  :-X

Please un plug until you confirm the 30A shore power receptacle is wired correct.

A 30A should NOT have two legs measuring 240V between legs.  A 30 A should have one leg (hot) at 120V, neutral and ground.

Read Mike Sokul's article - he is a good source of all things RV electrical.  CLicky here.

PS - at 187V the EMS/Surge guard is doing its job and locking out power on HI VOLTAGE.
