PowerTech CD7000 generator oil level

We have a "new to us" 1999 Intrigue with a PowerTech CD7000 and I changed the oil and filters today and the question I have is the manual says the generator takes 4 quarts of oil. I put the 4 quarts in and a new filter and after running when I check the level it shows at the "low" mark like it needs another quart. So, do I add another quart or am I good with the 4 quarts as is?

I have the exact same generator. If I remember correctly they also have an extra large oil sump. So I added enough oil to bring it up to the full mark.

Same Generator! Use 5 Quarts! Ken 99 Allure! Check the Fan Belt, It can be rolled off also fuel lines for Cracks, I replaced mine this spring, Use proper lines, NAPA Barracade is what I used, One 3/8 and other 5/16. Ken 99 Allure 30356

Saw ur post re changing fuel lines. I have a 96 intrigue and need to do the same. How did you access the tank connections? I can't see an easy access point.

Have a 97 Magna on a Gileg chassis. Have been looking at it because I know at some point I will have to replace the fuel line to the gen and the Wabash in the back. I think there may be access if one slides out the gen and then get up behind it. That is the only way I can see to get top of tank access. Have not tried it, maybe something in the way I cannot see now. Other wise it looks like a tank drop, but I think it can be done without that extreme.

Good luck on a hard job.

I had to change fuel lines so I pulled up the carpet and drilled a 4"? dia hole in the floor after calculating where to drill. Was able to reach connections for the gen, hydro hot and motor. Took off hose clamps and attached new line to old for a pull line. All went well and it took about three hrs to do.

Good job Bill. I did the hole in the floor on our last gas rig to change the gas gen line. How did the pull through go, did you find the line clamped in many places? How did you get it though the bulk head seal? How did you tie the old hose to the new hose and keep it small without clamps to pull it through?

What I can see of the top of the tank and the many lines out of it, they look clamped together and tied down. Of course one can always make a bigger hole in the floor and use backing boards to put it all back together.

When splicing the old hose to the new I cut one side of the hose off about 6"? long of the old and one side off of the new hose about 6"? long . Lapped them over each other and wrapped it with small ss wire. I put lub on the new hose to cut down on friction , took it slow and had no problem at all. By dropping the cover of the wire chase in the storage bays I could brake the seals at the bulk heads. The seal was black silicone. I did not find any of them to be clamped or have tie downs. On mine dropping the tank would not be bad if I had a pit but I don't.
